Welcome to the Malaysian Automotive Component Parts Manufacturer's (MACPMA) latest innovation
website, which will revolutionize the way we interact with the automotive parts industry in Malaysia.
As we are all aware, the automotive sector has been a vital contributor to Malaysia's economy since the advent of our first national car in 1983 and has continued to stimulate the development of industrial sectors such as electrical and electronics, plastics, steels, and rubber.
I am proud to affirm that MACPMA, comprising over 700 companies from Tier 1 to Tier 3, plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of the automotive industry in Malaysia. These companies produce not only elementary products ranging from brackets and screws but also sophisticated technological products such as sensors and high tensile steel products.
To remain resilient and robust, the industry must embrace competitiveness and innovation while staying ahead of the curve in future trends, such as the emergence of Electric Vehicles and NextGen vehicles. The Malaysian government is committed to fostering the growth of online automotive parts industry through incentivizing local sourcing of components and fostering collaborations between local suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), all under the ambit of the National Automotive Policy (NAP) 2020.
This policy seeks to enhance the competitiveness of the domestic industry by introducing new and advanced technology elements, while also providing an avenue for expanding the range and availability of parts that can be marketed online. These strategic measures will stimulate the emergence of more local parts suppliers, a development that will benefit the industry at large.
I am confident that the new MACPMA website, coupled with the National Automotive Policy (NAP) 2020, will augment the growth of the automotive parts industry in Malaysia, promote digitalization, enhance efficiency, and promote market openness, while balancing the need to safeguard consumer interests and market stability.
It is with utmost sincerity that I express my gratitude to MACPMA and all stakeholders in the automotive industry for their unwavering support, and I am positive that the launch of this website will contribute immensely to the growth and prosperity of the industry.
